Region, Sub-region and/or DOC: Portugal Islands l Azores

Vinification: Grapes are gently foot-crushed before undergoing vertical stainless steel pressing, followed by natural fermentation. Sulfites are introduced post-alcoholic fermentation and prior to bottling.

Grape Varieties: 90% Arinto from the Azores, 10% Terrantez from Pico, Verdelho from the Azores and Boal. Autochthonous varieties of the Azores, not to be confused with those of the mainland.

Maturation: Old Vineyards with 40/80 years. 72% of the batch in stainless steel on lees for 9 months. 28% in used barrels for 6 months.
