Description
What am I: Vinhos Aparte Integraal
What started as a thesis project for three friends attending enology school together has become one of the most exciting natural wine projects in Portugal. Vinhos Aparte brings a punk-rock/graffiti artist aesthetic to their winemaking, and it shows in their whimsical, fresh, fruity, and oh-so-funky wines. They may be grape-mad explorers in wine-based fun and craziness, but they are dead serious when it comes to making extraordinary wine.
Vinhos Aparte Integraal red wine comes from a single 500L barrel. The grapes were picked by hand, and made in the very first Aparte harvest. This particular Cabernet has never been repeated.
50% carbonic maceration and 50% skin contact, 30 months in used French oak barrels.
Only 650 unique bottles produced. Each “label” is a unique tile piece produced and hand-painted by Paulo Rocha of Azulcer Tiles.
