Description
What am I: Vinhos Aparte Superavit Tinto
What started as a thesis project for three friends attending enology school together has become one of the most exciting natural wine projects in Portugal. Vinhos Aparte brings a punk-rock/graffiti artist aesthetic to their winemaking, and it shows in their whimsical, fresh, fruity, and oh-so-funky wines. They may be grape-mad explorers in wine-based fun and craziness, but they are dead serious when it comes to making extraordinary wine.
Vinhos Aparte Superavit Tinto is made by mixing grapes from different regions. Tinta Roriz and Castelão (60%) come from Lisboa, and Tinto Cão and Bastardo (40%) hail from Trás-os-Montes.
Wild fermentation, unfiltered in bottle after 11 months each in stainless steel vats and very old barrels. This red wine is dry yet fruity, medium-bodied and what you want to drink right now.
