What am I: Quinta Várzea da Pedra is located in Bombarral, in the western region of Portugal. The vineyards can be found between the Óbidos Lagoon, the Atlantic Ocean and the Serra do Montejunto. The grapes are grown sustainably, with the harvest is carried out manually.
This is a macerated, or skin-contact white wine, with aromas of quince and stone, and with floral and mineral nuances. Full and intense on the palate, it is vibrant, with a very long and pleasant finish. The grapes were manually harvested and then foot trodden followed by maceration in a stone lagar. Spontaneous fermentation and stage on fine lees in stainless steel vat for 12 months.
Ideal for cured cheese, meat, or fish stews, plus dried fruit and sweet desserts.
